John has been in the financial services industry since 1977. He graduated the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Commerce degree and worked with a major Canadian insurance company as an Agency Manage until 1997. He specializes in employee benefits and working closely with small businesses and their families. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1985 and has also taught the Life Underwriters Association (LUATC) and CLU courses (specifically financial management) to other financial advisors. In the past, John has volunteered with Conservative Association acting as official agent and fundraising chair for his local Member of Parliament (MP) for 2 elections. In his spare time, John can bee seen playing golf, travelling, cycling, playing with his grandkids or spending time with his wife of 39 years, Saundra.
